After missing the past two games for personal reasons, Ben Gordon dropped 10 points to go with three assists and two steals. The shooting guard kept the Cats in the game early sinking a couple of shots from beyond the arc during the second quarter.

THE RESULT
The Bobcats three-game winning streak came to an end in a hard-fought battle against the NBA’s best as they fell to the Memphis Grizzlies 94-87 on November 17 at Time Warner Cable Arena®. The Cats were led by 18 points and nine rebounds from Byron Mullens, while Kemba Walker added seven points and eight assists.

TURNING POINTS
After getting down by 17 early in the third quarter, the Bobcats went on a 14-4 tear, cutting the Grizzlies lead back to single digits... Mike Conley sunk a 3-pointer with 3:54 left to play to put the Grizzlies up 11. Time was not on the Cats side from that point… Bismack Biyomo (four points, seven rebounds) got his own rebound and scored on an emphatic dunk to cut the lead to five with 13.7 seconds left, but the Grizzlies continued to hit their free throws to put the game out of reach for the Cats.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
The story of the game was the Grizzlies scoring 25 points on 18 Bobcats turnovers and netting 30 points from the charity stripe… The Cats defense progressed throughout the game, holding the Grizzlies to 38.8 percent shooting. This is third game in a row Charlotte has held its opponent under 40 percent shooting. The Grizzlies shot 28.6 percent (6-for-21) during the fourth quarter, scoring only 19 points to the Cats 27… The Bobcats took the rebound contest 46-44, including 15 offensive boards. Rookie Michael Kidd-Gilchrist notched four offensive boards (eight total) to go with his 12 points.

GAME NOTES
Hakim Warrick had five points, four rebounds and a blocked shot in his first game suiting up as a Bobcat… Tyrus Thomas left the game during the fourth quarter and did not return due to a calf strain in his left leg... Ramon Sessions had 12 points, four rebounds, two assists and a steal in 25 minutes… The Cats beat the Grizzlies on the fast-break, getting 24 points to the Grizzlies 18 and also scored more second-chance points (15-10).
